Footballer Fits

With the Premier League being already wrapped up (yes I’m aware of when I’m writing this… shout my Young Gunners), and the winner inevitably crowned. I feel there’s a new title race we should all turn our attentions to. The best dressed player in the sport.

Now a league format with points tallied would be far too long to follow, the points system would be a mess, we’re already past the half way mark of this season (maybe next year..), and honestly I’m not checking every player’s outfit weekly. I have a 9-5 myself. So… for now just hold this tier list. S being the best, and of course; if you’re in that F category, please shout me for styling purposes (check out the Styling Corner tab after you’ve finished reading this.

Anyways, enough said. Let’s get into this.

Jules Kounde

Mr Team of the Year himself, the fan favourite, arguably football’s best dressed player. Jules Kounde has really made a name for himself of the pitch with his style. From Super Smart, to the deepest levels of streetwear, there doesn’t seem to be a realm in fashion which Jules is afraid to tap in to.

In case you’re confused as to why he’s in the S slot of the pack… for now.

  1. Pre-Game Fits

If there’s anything we can take away from American sports, its their media team commitment’s to showcasing a player’s personality both on and off the field. Jules Kounde has taken that in full stride. It’s seemingly become tradition for him, like so many NBA athletes for example, to get a “tunnel fit” pic of his Pre-Game fits before matches, and honestly… he’s killing it. Whether its a smaller fixture which requires nothing more than a clean tracksuit, or a big game which requires a bit more steeze. Whatever the occassion, Kounde hasn’t dissapointed in the slightest. And you know what they say, look good, play good… and numbers clearly don’t lie.

2. Individual Style

Certain things can be bought, copied.. forced. But your own personal sense of style, that’s yours and yours alone. Jules gets that. In a time where fashion is overly saturated by the same display of designer brands worn just in different variations, Kounde shines alone. His style is very much unique to him, he’s bold with. Contrary to his playing position of a defender, he doesn’t shy away from the opportunity to have a shot at it, and it’s not very often he misses his target… and to make it clear if it wasn’t already, we’re not talking football no more, we’re talking fits.

He’s experimental, unpredictable, the perfect blend of flair and fundamentals. And just like this season, he could be taking home all the silverware.

Hugo Ekitike

While his signing of the summer status is in jeopardy with his form somewhat slowing down. What isn’t slowing down is the rate he’s dropping heat on his IG. He doesn’t do too too much, but what he does do, I'm telling you it’s working. Simplicity is key with @Heesheki (finsta). He understands proportions, colour blocking, all things which someone who understands fashion needs to get. He’s the truth.

Step clean or streetwear demon. Whatever the occasion, he’s got a fit for it. But more important than what you wear, is how you wear it. I feel like whenever there’s a fit pic of Ekitike, you’re getting a glimpse into the authentic version of him, its not performative, not theatrical, its just a guy who really likes his clothes and wants the world to know he can PTSO (can’t swear on here but use the urban dictionary init.) You can’t buy that..

Ola Aina

“Never been rich, never been poor. I’m really South London to the core”. - Finessekid, 2025. Now you’re probably thinking why am I citing “Lil Terio” (this free promo is insane), but I’m not. I’m perfectly describing our next player on the list, Mr Lulu, A.K.A Ola Aina.

His fashion sense is so UK Streetwear coded it’s crazy, I think his style has remained honest throughout his career and it’s genuinely refreshing seeing someone with a lot of money, remain true to themselves. We don’t name and shame round here, but there’s plenty of guys who touch a lil money, and all of a sudden, they’re celebritries. They forget where they came from, what brands they grew up on. My guy has a Fullypaid tracky and a More Bands OTW T-shirt on. He didn’t forget nothing.

Personal bias, he’s an S tier for me. Simply based off the brands you catch him in, the personality he has through the lens, and he really just dresses how I do tbh. But.. be it as I’m a voice of the people, and I can already see the comments of ‘he’s not experimentative enough’ or “it’s too much streetwear”. So against my wants and wishes, Mr Lulu goes into A Tier.
